News & Updates about Guarantees
At the end of November (expected date: November 25) the current version of Guarantees will be replaced by a completely new one.
Here you will find information about the new features and what will change in detail:
Launching Guarantees via navigation
The new functions can be accessed via the navigation point "Financing & Foreign Trade" under the tab “Guarantees".
Guarantee Overview and Detail View
An overview of your guarantees is now available. This allows you to view your current guarantee portfolio at any time.
In addition, you can use the detail view to call up the most important information about each guarantee.
Change orders are now possible for all guarantees
In the future, you will not only be able to view guarantees that have been ordered via other channels (e.g. paper or Web Trade Services) in the customer portal, but also to change them.
Handling templates
Unfortunately, existing templates cannot be transferred to the new functions for technical reasons. In the new template management system, you can create templates for multiple customer numbers within a customer connection.
In the future, it will also be possible to temporarily save multiple orders. These orders are available to you for up to 14 days (automatic deletion) after entry. If you load a temporary saved order and complete processing, the temporary saved order will be deleted.
You can also use a separate function to view and manage your templates/saved orders.
Print versions
You have the option of saving a copy (PDF) of the orders you have placed or having them sent to you by email.
You can also download the data for existing guarantees from the detail view as a PDF file.
Overview of the required usage rights
Guarantee request
Any person who has enabled at least one product (e.g. an account) for online use for the desired customer number can set up guarantees.
Guarantee overview, detail view and change request
Information and changes to existing guarantees can be seen / made by anyone who has the right “view guarantees".
Release
As in the existing function, orders can be approved by the persons who have authorization to place orders for the customer connection. Depending on the agreed authorization, a second person could be required to approve the order.
Persons who are authorized for online use or who have the right to “view guarantees" but do not have power of attorney can only request orders but cannot approve them.
Approval can still be carried in the customer portal and using the app. In the customer portal, you can still find your requested order in the order overview.
