What does „Manage authorizations“ contain?

With the "Manage authorizations" function, you can see for each customer number which employees of your company are authorized for electronic payment transactions with Commerzbank or to use the Corporate Banking Portal.

The permissions displayed include functions in the Corporate Banking Portal, such as the creation and management of money market loans and guarantees and view and manage products in the finance overview, as well as the permissions for EBICS or HBCI / FinTS required for electronic payment transactions.

What exactly can I do?

From the authorizations overview, you can add permissions or request the deletion of existing ones. For instance, if an account is not visible for an employee in the financial overview of the Corporate Banking Portal or the access to an account is missing in Global Payment Plus (GPP), you can add it through "Add permission". Once the order is fully approved, our service team will set up the permission.

Who can manage authorizations?

The function is generally available for legal and authorized representatives. If you want to delegate this task to someone outside these roles, assign them the "Admin-function to manage powers of attorney and permissions".

How can employees be set up as "Admin-function to manage powers of attorney and permissions"?

Do you want to assign the function to view and manage permissions to an employee of your company? Here is how you can set this up:

  • If the person is already in the selection list for the customer number under "Manage authorizations" and the status shown under "Online Products & Services" is "Active," you can directly assign the permission there.
  • If you want to authorize an employee who is not yet listed as an authorized signatory / entitled person at Commerzbank, you can contact your Client service team or use the online service "Assign new powers of attorney and authorizations". Please select “Zusatzfunktionen im Commerzbank Firmenkundenportal” (Additional functions in the Commerzbank Corporate Banking Portal) and then “Admin Vollmachten- und Portalrechteverwaltung” (Admin-function to manage powers of attorney and permissions). The employee will be registered as a new authorized person with this permission for the customer number.

What is “My authorizations“? 

The view “My authorizations" allows all users of the Corporate Banking Portal to see their permissions for electronic payment transactions with Commerzbank and for the Corporate Banking Portal functions for each customer number. Permissions cannot be changed here.
